I haven't seen control yet because I'll prolly jump of a bridge. I thought the guy that played Ian in 24-hour Party People was quite good.

Very brave review! In some ways, your story reminded me of the character in Garden State, where his father, a doctor, tried to keep him pharmaceutically happy after his mom's tragic death in a dishwasher accident.
I am sorry, but Walk Hard, sucked hard. Sorry. I could not stand that movie. Not enough penis, apparently, for me.
I think the lesson of Walk Hard is that biopics are (in general) ridiculous and badly acted. For that alone it gets a thumbs up, but I agree that it was not exactly a masterpiece of modern cinema. I mean, it's no Shakes the Clown...
