The 40's and 50's. Women were accepted as housewifes and stay at home moms without being frowned upon for it. Men did not complain about be the head of the household and being the bread winners. Life just seem to be simpler for families.
The good old days weren't all that good, Angela. That nostalgia is myth based. Men are no different today than they were back then. At least today you can hold some of them accountable when they abandon the family. The 40's and 50's were NOT all Leave It To Beaver.
